Calling all beauty lovers! It just became even easier to shop your favorite makeup, hair, and skincare products at Target thanks to a new game-changing partnership between Ulta Beauty and Target. Slated to launch in the second half of 2021, the two retailers will be rolling out Ulta Beauty at Target in-store destinations at more than 100 Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com with plans to scale to hundreds more over time.
“The durable strategy we have built has made Target a top retail destination. The ease and convenience of our stores and fulfillment services provide broad reach and relevance for the curated brands our guests love,” said Target chairman and CEO Brian Cornell in a press release. “In partnership with Ulta Beauty, a company that shares our deep guest focus, we are able to expand our growing beauty business with new, exciting brands, an immersive experience, and loyalty benefits to transform how our guests shop for all their beauty needs.”
The innovative shop-in-shop will operate as an extension of the welcoming Ulta Beauty experience we’ve all come to love. Each Ulta Beauty at Target shop will be approximately 1,000 square feet and situated next to Target’s existing beauty aisles, so you can conveniently stock up on all of your beauty essentials in one go during your trip. It will be designed to mirror the cosmetic retailers’ existing stores and be stocked with more than 40 established, emerging, and prestige beauty brands. The brand plans to offer a rotational lineup of products not currently available at Target.
In the release, Ulta Beauty’s CEO Mary Dillon said, “We are thrilled to bring our beauty expertise, unparalleled assortment, and digital innovation to life in a new channel to delight and deepen loyalty with our existing guests and introduce Ulta Beauty to new guests.” In line with Target and Ulta Beauty’s mission to provide a guest-centric shopping experience, the company will train Target team members on the Ulta Beauty prestige product offerings to ensure they are equipped to answer every shopper’s burning beauty questions. When you visit the shop-in-shop, you’ll also have the chance to interact with Ulta Beauty’s signature digital discovery tools like GLAMLab–a virtual try-on tool that allows you to safely test and try products across all beauty categories.
For those who prefer to stock up on their Ulta Beauty at Target must-haves from home, you can expect to have the same elevated shopping experience on Target.com and the Target app as you would in-store. And if you shop Ulta Beauty at Target online, you will enjoy free shipping on qualifying orders and have the option to use Target’s same-day fulfillment services like Drive-Up, Order Pickup, and Shipt same-day delivery at select store locations.
