Finding your perfect blush can pretty much revolutionize your makeup routine. Suddenly, a step that seemed arbitrary or unnecessary becomes critical. At least that's what we've experienced. After all, there's nothing like a natural wash of rosy pink, bright coral, or dusty mauve to bring our tired or dull complexion back to life.
So, how do you find your perfect shade, texture, and finish when it comes to blush? Well, testing and sampling as many different formulas as you can is the obvious answer, but there's something else you can do. Just like all other makeup products, it helps to do a little research and learn which ones are trending and well loved by others. If enough people rave about it, then it's likely that the product will be worth the buzz, right? That's what we think, at least. Luckily, we have access to Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest for all of the product recommendations we could ever need.
The latter just released data on the top five trending blush products across the entire site, and guess what? The number one most popular blush, which has been saved over 25,000 times, is only $5. See all five of the best below.
The product that came in fifth place for most beloved blush on Pinterest is this British-born drugstore pick. Makeup Revolution's eight-pan palette provides all of the muted pinks and taupe blush shades your heart could desire, along with a couple shimmery highlight options.
One of Glossier's most popular products is the Cloud Paint blush. The lightweight cream formula provides a natural and buildable wash of color. The blush is available in multiple shades, but Beam is particularly popular on Pinterest. It's a peachy coral shade that all but screams sunshine and summertime.
Next, we have a face palette from Urban Decay. The fan-favorite product comes in six different shades and includes a bronzer, a highlighter, and (most importantly for the purposes of this post), a blush. This one, called Streak, is a perfect combination of traditional pink and coral.
The second-most popular blush on Pinterest is this shimmery ballerina-pink blush from Becca. Wear it alone for a slight wash of color, or layer it over a matte blush for more impact (and a little luminosity). We like to dust it over the apples of our cheeks when our skin is looking a tad dull or when we're going for a radiant and summery look.
The number one trending blush on Pinterest—the one that's only $5—is from one of our favorite drugstore makeup brands, Milani. The compact is molded into the shape of a rose, so it looks just as beautiful sitting atop a vanity as it does when it's applied to the cheeks. The color is a muted, dusty pink that flatters almost every skin tone.
If the top five most pinned blushes on all of Pinterest aren't an indication of what works, then we don't know what is. On top of that, the most expensive one is $34, which isn't too bad considering luxury products go for much more than that. Oh, how we love a well-reviewed drugstore product.
