This Might Just Be the Most Relaxing Spa I've Ever Been To

the ned spa review: The Ned Spa Pool

Nestled away deep inside The Ned, a five-star London hotel, lies The Ned's Club Spa—and let me tell you this: It's pretty special. It goes without saying that The Ned itself is pretty spectacular for both its interiors inspiration and its service, so my expectations were high going into experience, and it didn't disappoint.

The spa has been built around a 20-metre indoor pool complete with sauna, steam room, traditional Moroccan hammam and eight truly unique Cowshed treatment rooms. From facials to body massages, to VitaDrips by the Elixir Clinic (a little more on those later), the spa offers a variety of treatments for anyone who wants to unwind in a beautiful setting. Sounds like the dream, right?

I find it hard to unwind; even when I'm away from busy London life, my mind tends to tick-tick-tick away until I have to physically force myself to stop—but that didn't happen at The Ned Spa. The space is clean, but it doesn't feel unwelcoming or sparse. As soon as I entered, I felt instantly refreshed and less tense, and that's exactly the type of vibe I want at a spa.

The spa itself is tucked away beneath The Ned's restaurants and hotel, which actually makes for the perfect setting as it is incredibly quiet and tranquil. It feels a bit like a labyrinth, with door upon door of rooms and walkways, but this adds to the whole experience; you can get totally lost (in a good way!).

The 20-metre pool is definitely the focal point, located at the end of a music-filled corridor. I ended up spending a few hours reading on one of the daybeds alongside it, dipping in and out of the pool. The beds are comfortable enough that you could fall asleep if you really wanted to, and it's so peaceful you wouldn't feel awkward doing just that.

After my time in the treatment rooms and the pool, I'll be honest—I spent a good hour and a half getting ready to go home. Not because I didn't want to leave (okay, I actually didn't), but also because the changing facilities were so plush. Picture interior heaven with marble sinks and tiled floors ,and that's The Ned Spa, but not in an overdone way—it's completely unique and fresh.

I'd been feeling super tired in the weeks running up to my spa day, so I decided to have the Power Up Elixir VitaDrip. They promise to leave you feeling rejuvenated and full of energy and that's exactly what I needed. The treatment room featured two comfortable armchairs, and a handy little side table with drinks—much like a chic sitting room. The woman who performed the treatment made me feel completely comfortable and explained everything in full before we started.

The main premise of a VitaDrip is that they inject you (it's not as scary as it sounds, promise) with a nutrient-packed vitamin infusion for energy boosting, anti-ageing and rejuvenation. The Power Up combines antioxidants and anti-ageing vitamins like Vitamin C and B-complex to help with skin rejuvenation and energy levels. Prices range from around £150 up to £350, but it's the type of thing you could get every once in a while and still see benefits. It takes about 10 minutes, and you can feel the effects for a day or so after.

I left after my time at the spa feeling brighter, more energised and clearer-headed.
