Don't Leave Home Without These Travel Essentials

The Beauty Lookbook

Thanksgiving is basically here, and while I'm looking forward to a delicious home-cooked meal and plenty of wine and dessert, I am less than thrilled about traveling. The week of Thanksgiving is one of the busiest travel times of year, and if you're headed to the airport like I am, you're bound to be a bundle of nerves by the time you hit your destination. Even if you're not braving the TSA line at LAX and simply hopping in your car for a few hours, you're sure to feel that twinge of anxiety when you're bumper to bumper in traffic. All this and we still have to pack.

For me, Thanksgiving "break" is long enough to warrant packing more than sweatpants but short enough to make it far too easy to put off packing until the night before. To avoid the last-minute scramble, I'm planning my list now and stocking up on plenty of multitasking beauty essentials so I can look and feel rested, no matter what the airport (and dinner conversation) brings. Supplements & Tools

Supplements and tools are the keys to getting me through a rough travel week. Ice rollers, micro-rollers, and dermaplaning tools all help me look refreshed and vibrant post-flight, and Sakara Life snacks keep me full, satisfied, and feeling healthy.

I refuse to skimp on my skincare routine when I'm home, which means I'm packing plenty of serums with brightening and detoxifying ingredients, combined with masks that will squash acne and make my complexion glow.

When it comes to makeup, less is more and multitasking is key. My essentials include CC cream, an all-in-one brow-and-eye palette, an easy lip color, and mascara that makes me look awake even post-turkey.

If I wash my hair more than once when I'm home for the holidays, it's a miracle. Gross but true. To keep it looking as fresh as possible, I'm sourcing copious amounts of dry shampoo, silk hair ties for crease-free styling, and travel-size tools, in case I'm inspired to attempt a blowout.
