We purchased Systane Lubricant Eye Gel Drops so our writer could put it to the test. Keep reading for our full product review.

No one likes to feel the symptoms of dry eyes coming on, as they can be very uncomfortable. From stinging, burning, to itching, and more, dry eyes can really put a damper on your day, especially if you’re staring at a computer screen, or are outside during a change of season in the spring. While several different factors can bring on the symptoms of dry eyes, you don’t have to suffer with them without any reprieve.

Ahead, we put Systane Lubricant Eye Gel Drops to the test to see if they were as effective as they promised, and the results were pretty fantastic.

About My Eyes: They feel dry, itch, and sometimes burn

I suffer from dry eyes especially when I am working and writing on my computer, and during the change of season from spring to summer. If I travel, my eyes can also tend to feel dry and burn on an airplane. I have tried dry eye drops before and some brands I’ve used are Visine and various drugstore brands.

How To Apply: Tilt the head back and squeeze drops into eyes

Applying eye drops is pretty straightforward and you may have had to do this a few times at one point or another. One of the main things to keep in mind when applying drops is to relax, as our natural tendency and reflex are to squint or tense up when it comes to anything coming near our eyes (and rightly so). You will want to tilt your head back, hold the dropper bottle above your eyes at least 1-2 inches and squeeze 1-2 drops into each eye, blinking, allowing the solution to cover the entire eye so that the complete surface can benefit from the drops.

The Results: No more dry eyes

The first thing I noticed was that my eyes felt a little cloudy upon using these drops, but that is because they are so lubricated it can take a few minutes to get used to them.

After the cloudiness went away, my eyes felt more soothed than they have ever felt with any other drops.

The results were long-lasting, I did not have to re-apply any more drops for the rest of the day, and that was especially wonderful due to all the work I had to do on my computer. I was quite impressed with these drops and the fact they are so lubricating is key when addressing uncomfortable dry eye symptoms.

The Value: Small in size

While these drops come in a smaller size bottle and are the same price or similar as those with larger sized bottles, we still consider Systane Lubricant Eye Gel Drops to be a budget-friendly product because one drop helps to soothe eyes so well, you won’t be overusing these drops or wasting them.
