Like presumably many of you reading this, the last couple of years have left me woefully out of practice when it comes to walking in heels. So this summer, I’m looking to elevate (excuse the pun) my looks with shoes that exist at the perfect intersection of fashion and function: platforms. This pair by Steve Madden will look just as fabulous paired with a dainty sundress at brunch as they will with something sequined at night. As tempting as it is to default to black–I am a New Yorker after all–I’m besotted with the Hot Pink variation. They’re just begging to be paired with other fun, bright hues for a color block moment.

I don’t know if “Blouse Girl” is a thing, but if it is, let it be known that I identify as one. (Or that I’ve coined the term in this very article.) I just love the way a blouse can instantly make an outfit feel more polished–wear one slim-cut jeans, a pair of loafers, and a leather jacket and you’ve basically got my uniform. I love how this blouse by Mango taps into the current ‘60s psychedelic trend with its graphic print. And the oversized cut means it’ll give you that perfect “off-duty supermodel” look, whether you opt to wear it with pants or a mini skirt.

Fragrances are so personal; our favorites reach that status because they can immediately evoke a place, a time, or a feeling. For me, Versace’s Dylan Blue Pour Femme somehow manages to evoke a place I’ve actually never been: The Amalfi Coast, where I’m gazing at crystal clear seas, eating the most delicious pasta I’ve ever tasted, wearing the most amazing maillot, and thoroughly enjoying my Glam Era. Of course, I’m actually spritzing on this delicious fruity-floral fragrance before I’m about to get on a crowded train to commute into the city. And the fragrance gives me perfect dream fodder for the journey.

I adore statement earrings. They can somehow make an outfit you’ve worn 1,000 times feel brand new. This pair by Betsey Johnson is like the perfect grown-up upgrade to the clip-on earrings you’d get in little princess kits as a kid. I’m already picturing wearing them with the Steve Madden platforms from above and a little black dress. Now all I need is a tiara…

Practically half of my summer wardrobe is comprised of tennis dresses. It's one of the easiest, most versatile staples in my wardrobe. Add a fun claw clip, a crochet cardigan for a touch of Coastal Granddaughter, and a beaded shoulder bag for going out, or wear the dress alone with sneakers for hot girl walks and workouts. Either way, it's easy, breezy, and always comfortable (hello, built-in shorts).

Big, fluffy lashes are my signature, and Lancome's Monseiur Big is my favorite formula to get the look. Fortunately, they also have a waterproof iteration that's completely swim- and sweat-proof. It doesn't smudge all over my eyelids during my sweaty commute or flake off when I'm spending the day at the beach. Instead, I get to enjoy fluffy, amazing lashes regardless of hot it is.

The micro-purse trend is cute and all, but I always have tons of stuff! This bag fits my wallet, phone, hand sanitizer, keys, sunglasses, and multiple lipstick options with room to spare. I love that the warm amber color is universal, too—I pair it with white linen for summer and then easily transition it to fall with leather pants and cashmere turtlenecks.
