When wearing bold colors on the lips you can really experiment with different hues to find which shade fits you best, and makes you feel the most confident. Hydration and exfoliation play a huge role in the health of the skin on your lips, and it's something you should do regularly to keep them in perfect condition. Go bold and don't look back, your skin will instantly look brighter and with the right shade your eyes will certainly pop.

Highlight So Bright, Hair Just Right

Etro really let highlighted skin make a debut, making it the perfect subtle statement makeup for every day wear. When highlighting, there's a fine line between just right and way too shimmery. It should look natural on the face so that when the light hits, your complexion is out of this world gorgeous. Start by applying a cream highlighter stick on the cheekbones and down the nose before foundation, and then finish with subtle touches of highlight again for the perfect dewy complexion

To re-create this hair look, spray a texturizer in at the scalp and move the hair backwards away from the face. The texturizer will give some volume at the root, and you can finish with a mousse or hairspray to keep it all in place.

Byrdie Tip

To maintain glowing skin, be sure to do a proper face mask 2-3 times a week to nourish your skin and treat it well.

Giorgio Armani gave us loads of inspiration to do a smoky eye that wasn't so perfectly blended, and more abstract with liner. This look is fun because you can create what you want, bold wings, or thinner lines, anything goes. Start with a cream shadow on the lid, and then in the crease blend a darker color for contour. Finish with your favorite long wear eyeliner of choice and a few coats of mascara.

A Crown Braid Fit For a Queen

Vicky Zhang - Backstage - September 2017/Monica Schipper/Getty Images

Vicky Zhang went ahead and nailed the perfect crown braid, a style that works and looks super chic with medium to long length hair. Soft makeup is the perfect compliment to this hair look, because it doesn't overpower the statement you're trying to make.

To re-create this crown braid, use a dry texture spray from the middle section of your hair down to the bottom ends. Next, you can section your hair down the middle into two parts, just like you would when creating two braids, one on each side.

Braid each side, securing the bottom with an elastic band, and then take the left sided braid up and over the top of your head, pinning along the way to secure it. Do the same thing with the right side, pin any stray hairs, and set with hairspray to keep securely in place.

Not Your Average Ponytail

Public School - Front Row & Backstage - September 2017 - New York Fashion Week/Bennett Raglin/Getty Images

Public School debuted a modern twist on the classic ponytail by breaking it up into sections and leaving some face framing pieces out to soften it all up. You can do this look with almost any length hair as long as you secure the elastic bands in the right place and proportion to the ponytail. Try it with curly hair (as pictured here) or do it on straight, hair too. If wanting to re-create this with straight hair, simply flatiron your hair before putting it back and into sections to ensure it's smooth.

Mermaid Style Beach Waves

Alice + Olivia's barely there beach waves made a huge splash and give off the perfect mermaid vibes without trying too hard, don't you think? Pro Beauty Tools Celebrity Stylist Johnny Lavoy recommends the first step to beach waves is to blow dry the hair with a texturizing product like a beach spray.

Next, take large vertical sections using a 1 1/4 curling iron and wrap the hair mid length, leaving the last 3-4 inches out of the wand to give a relaxed wave. Finish by running your fingers through the wave and misting some more beach wave spray in to complete the look.

Pro Beauty Tools Celebrity Stylist Johnny Lavoy recommends to create this look, start by drying the hair and then use some hairspray to add texture, while putting it back in a low ponytail. Twist the hair in the ponytail and wrap it into a bun, leaving the ends out. Secure with bobby pins and finish with some more hairspray to secure and hold the chignon in place.
