K-Pop fans and Korean beauty lovers are about to get stoked thanks to Shu Uemura's latest collaboration with fashion designer Katheleen Kye. The Seoul-raised Detroit native is known for her edgy label, KYE. The brand's influence in the K-Pop music scene is undeniable, and her bold approach to fashion—inspired by streetwear and music—has a celebrity following from South Korea to the States.
The fashion-meets-beauty collab is playful, filled with color, and inspired by Seoul. That means we can expect Korean beauty influences from cushion compacts to cleansing oils. The adorable packaging is emblazoned with illustrations by Kye herself that represent parts of her home, from a gummy tiger meant to represent the country's national animal to a cute K-popsicle lollipop. The bright collection is made up of 24 products, including three hair products, two cleansing oils, and a range of colorful makeup. The Art of Hair products won't be out until June 1, but the rest of the line is just around the corner, launching on April 18 at ShuUemura-USA.com.
