There are certain personal care items that aren't as exciting as, say, buying a fresh eye makeup palette or a brand-new lipstick. We're talking about things like makeup remover, toothpaste, and yes, deodorant. We use these things every single day, and we definitely consider them necessary to our routines, but they lack a certain luxuriousness (or cuteness, maybe?). Because of that, they fail to inspire the same enthusiasm and delight as our other beauty and wellness products.
One company is testing that theory with a new product. We're talking about Secret, the classic drugstore brand that has been around since what seems like forever. It has just released a new collection of deodorant products, and the least we can say is that it's cute. Seriously. Cute and discreet deodorant exists. What can we say? Sometimes it's all about the packaging.
Would you just look at these little deodorant spheres? Cute, right? To us, they look exactly like updated versions of EOS Lip Balms ($3). They're small enough to fit perfectly in your hand and their circular shape makes them more aesthetically pleasing than other more traditional deodorants. Is it weird we have the urge to collect them? By the way, this one is called Chill Ocean and it has a fresh marine scent.
There's also Luxe Lavender for people who like a more muted fragrance, which fittingly, comes in this pastel purple packaging. Each one has the same formula we know and love from Secret, it's just updated to fit into the updated casing.
Paris Rose is the next fragrance in this new collection. We're privy to anything rose-scented (which also happens to be why we love rose face mist so much—shout out to Herbivore Botanicals' Rose Hydrating Face Mist, $32!), so we'll definitely give this one a try.
Finally, we have the Cool Waterlily scent, which comes in this spring green packaging. Each of these antiperspirants launches in March, so keep an eye out. When you're out and about running errands, you'll be able to pick up any (or all) of these discreet and super-cute products.
