It's safe to say that blonde hair is having a special moment. Celebs like Kim Kardashian West, Karlie Kloss, Solange Knowles, Marion Cotillard, and Cara Delevingne have all made the switch in this year alone, proving that anyone and everyone can look amazing with yellow-white hair. That's likely why it's been a jaw drop–inducing constant among the latest celeb hair transformation.
Still, we were a bit surprised seeing none other than Salma Hayek sporting super-blonde hair in the front row of the Altuzarra S/S 18 show at Paris Fashion Week. We never expected to see her with blonde hair, thanks to the inky black shade that she's maintained for years. Upon doing some research (aka scrolling through her Instagram), we discovered the secret to her surprising and super-quick hair transformation was a wig. Despite our initial shock, we agree she looks amazing. Keep scrolling to see her whole look!

Hayek paired her new blonde 'do with a neon pink suit (as one does), giving her a standout look to wear for the fashion show's front row. We like how the wig was a honey color with darker lowlights dispersed throughout, complementing her skin tone nicely. Plus, it made her thick, bold brows pop even more than usual.
We also love the lob look on her. The length and cut are super flattering, framing her face on either side like curtains, which is why we think wouldn't mind her making it permanent instead of temporary.
On Instagram, she shared these three side-by-side photos, which show the dramatic transition. She captioned it "The process," and you can clearly see the wig being applied over the top of her natural hair.
There's no word yet on whether or not Hayek will return to her blonde alter ego or if this was just a onetime occurrence. Though we adore her natural dark hair, we also love this dramatic switch-up and hope to see more of blond Salma Hayek in the months to come.
If you're feeling as inspired by the star's look as we are and choose to go for the dye job yourself, we hope you'll maintain it with a good toning shampoo, which preserves color and vibrancy. For blonde hair, we like Amika Bust Your Brass Cool Blonde Shampoo ($24).
