All the Stunning Beauty Looks at the 2018 SAG Awards

Updated 07/08/19

Now that we’re deep in the throes of award season (catch up on our favorite looks from the Golden Globes here), we can’t help but feel a renewed excitement for the creative, bold, and exciting beauty looks set to come down the carpet. After the industry’s most powerful women reinforced necessary rhetoric about sexual harassment, assault, and gender inequalities, the ways they chose to present their hair and makeup were especially fascinating.

Below find the most awe-inspiring beauty looks from the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards.

Yara Shahidi

Yara Shahidi showed up to the red carpet looking like a breath of fresh air—her incredible natural texture was on full display (celebrity hairstylist Nai’vasha Johnson used a quarter size of Taliah Waajid Curly Curl Cream ($7) to define curls and add shine), her skin was glowing, and her lips were a glossy burgundy.

Connie Britton

Connie Britton’s hair (styled by Bridget Brager with Dyson’s Supersonic Hair Dryer, $399) might as well get its own award. Her strawberry-blonde locks looked especially mermaid-like with a deep side part and a bit of gel at the roots.

Saoirse Ronan

Saoirse Ronan’s cloudless, shockingly flawless skin leaves our jaws on the floor each time we see her walk a red carpet. This time, her piercing blue eyes and her powder-purple shadow (it’s Chanel, says celeb makeup artist Kara Yoshimoto Bua) left us awestruck.

Halle Berry

Halle Berry can do no wrong in our book. Whether it’s a pixie, natural curls, or this high ponytail (with a shaved undercut), she’s iconic.

Alison Brie

Alison Brie’s massive blue eyes are especially piercing on the SAG Awards red carpet, paired with just a touch of mascara, tightly lined eyeliner, and Elizabeth Arden’s Advanced Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum ($80) beneath Flawless Finish Everyday Perfection Bouncy Makeup ($40) applied by celebrity makeup artist Quinn Murphy.

Kristen Bell kept her makeup monochromatic with a pinched-pink lip, cheek, and eye shadow. Her hair, a clean, elegant look (with Grace Kelly as the inspiration) was dreamed up by Suave Professionals celebrity stylist Jenny Cho, misted with Suave Professionals Natural Hold Compressed Micro Mist Hairspray ($4), and wrapped into a sleek knot.

Samira Wiley

Samira Wiley kept her lashes long and fluttery and her lips painted in a deep fuchsia.

Lupita Nyong'o

We could talk about Lupita Nyong’o’s glowing, flawless skin all night long. Here, with just a bit of iridescent eye shadow and expertly applied highlighter, the actress proved she can do no wrong.

Her hairstylist, Vernon François, used his hands as the primary tool for her structured look—no heat. Instead, he contoured and sculpted the actress' hair into a side quiff after applying Scalp Nourish~Ment Braids and Locs Spray ($24).

Dakota Fanning

Makeup artist Erin Ayanian Monroe created Dakota Fanning's etherial makeup look—she used Dior's DiorBlush Vibrant Colour Powder Blush in Cocktail Peach ($44) and gave her skin a pearl finish with Dior's Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Powder ($48) on her cheekbones.

Gina Rodriguez’s shiny lip gloss (Lancôme's L’Absolu Gloss sheer in Café Creme, $25) is a modern take on a nostalgic favorite.
