So many hats.

The royal wedding day has finally arrived, and the guests' beauty looks did not disappoint. Unlike past royal weddings, this day brings together actors and actresses, influential people from the worlds of charity and sport, along with members of the royal family, which, thankfully, makes for a visually rich and eclectic mix of looks for us to take inspiration from for upcoming weddings in our own social calendars. It's being dubbed the "most modern royal wedding".

The dress code included hats, which isn't the easiest accessory to wear, especially since the guests are in front of the nation's glare as they make the walk to St. George's Chapel.

Do you go for hair down or work an updo that doesn't detract from the hat or fascinator? Then there is the decision of makeup: Do you go neutral and let the accessory do all the talking like Pippa Middleton, or do you be bold and go for a jaunty color clash à la Amal Clooney? Decisions, decisions.

Makeup artist Pati Dubroff used Chanel Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow ($62) to play off the lavender shade of Chopra's suit. She applied the dark plum shade on the outer corners of the eyes and mixed the pink shades from the palette with Chanel Ombre Première Longwear Powder Eyeshadow in Rose Synthetique ($32) to create a gradation of pale pink shine in the inner corners. On the center of the lids, she placed Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Rosewood ($45) for an even more statement-making pop.
