We put the Remington Reveal Heated Eyelash Curler to the test after receiving a complimentary sample from the brand. Keep reading for our full product review.

When I first picked up the Remington heated eyelash curler I was pretty stoked. I’m blessed with long, fluffy lashes but they’re a little unruly. I definitely need to use a lash curler to help tame them. I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of a heated lash curler because, like a curling iron, it seems like it would help cure a curl. So when I unboxed the Remington Reveal Heated Eyelash Curler I was surprised to see that it was not your traditional eyelash curler. It was a heated comb with no clamp. With a little practice I was able to make it work for me. Keep scrolling to find out how and to see the before and after pictures.

About My Lashes: Long and full-but flat

My lashes are extremely long and full, which actually makes me the perfect candidate to try this product. I already use a traditional/non-heated lash curler everyday before applying mascara. My lashes are kind of flat and they overlap so crimping them with a curler helps separate them and open my eyes a little bit more. I’ve always wanted to try a heated lash curler because I’ve heard such great things about the lasting effects.

“The best way to use the curler is to gently pass through from root to tip, utilizing the built-in comb to separate lashes.”

How to Use: Alongside a traditional lash curler

This heated comb is super simple: just pop in the battery and flip the switch on. It heats up in about a minute. There’s a red tab that lights up when it’s ready. The directions instruct you to brush upwards, using slow gentle strokes that last about five seconds. Ryan Dienslake, the Associate Brand Manager of Innovation at Remington says “the best way to use the curler is to gently pass through, from route to tip, utilizing the built-in comb to separate the lashes.” For me, I had to use it in conjunction with my old-school Chanel eyelash curler. I started with the hot comb, using firm upward strokes to separate and flip the lashes. Once I got them turned up, I quickly followed up with a quick clamp to lock them into place while they were still warm.

The Results: Lifted and defined

Adding a little bit of heat to your eyelash curling routine is a good idea. If you check out my before and after pictures, you’ll see. It definitely helps to flip the lashes and keep them lifted and defined. For me, because my lashes are so unruly, I really need the assistance of a clamp to help seal the lashes in place.

The Value: A nice addition to your lash routine

I do think this product works, but the Remington Reveal Heated Eyelash Curler is more of an additional step to add into my existing routine rather than a replacement for what I’m already using. It definitely takes your curl to the next level for an all-day hold. When I don’t use the heat, by the end of day, my lashes fall flat. For under $20, it’s pretty average in comparison. Bonus: It also comes with a light up pair of tweezers that are very handy at snagging even the most transparent of stray hairs. It’s a small price to pay if you’re looking to vamp up your look.
