The 2020 Emmy Awards were a big night for Reese Witherspoon. Witherspoon’s standout Hulu series Little Fires Everywhere—which she both stars in and executive produce—was nominated for Outstanding Limited Series. And while there was no red carpet to flock to this year, Witherspoon still commemorated the occasion with red carpet-worthy glam. The highlight of her beauty look? Her matte red lipstick.

Inspired by Witherspoon’s black cocktail dress, Witherspoon’s makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan opted to create a classic beauty look.

Deenihan used Pat McGrath Labs products to create the actress’s perfect crimson pout. Deenihan applied the Mattetrance Lipstick ($38) in Elson 2.

She defined Witherspoon's lips using the Perma Gel Ultra Lip Pencil ($32) in Major.

Deenihan used the brand’s new holiday Mthrshp Mega: Celestial Divinity Palette shade Bronze Nebula to create the actress’s warm neutral eye. She also applied the Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation ($68) to create her glowing complexion.

To complete the look, celebrity hairstylist Lona Maria Vigi styled Witherspoon's hair in beautiful cascading waves. This is one of our favorite beauty looks of the 2020 Emmy Awards, hands down.
