It's worth thinking a little about your poolside beauty selection, especially if the pool in question is not a stone's throw from your hotel bedroom. If you need to travel for a dip, then packing up a bag of products that will see you right through a day of sunbathing, swimming and chilling is a must. I recently went to Antigua and thought I would document my poolside beauty edit for you (I'll also explain why each product made the cut). Let's dive right in, shall we?
No good poolside bag is complete without an array of SPF products. I have one for the face and one for the body. I always keep an SPF lip balm close at hand, too.
This Avène face SPF is tinted, making it ideal for anyone who doesn't like to go totally barefaced. If you're spot-prone, then you'll know the importance of packing an SPF specifically formulated for the face.
Ouai's new ombré spray is like Sun In, but way cooler and kinder to the hair. It combines hydrogen peroxide with pineapple juice and lemon-infused coconut water to lighten the hair gradually.
Eyeko's waterproof mascaras do not budge, and this iteration is no different. It's ideal if you want to go from pool to party.
This leave-in crème uses UV filters and linseed oil to condition the hair. It also protects it from sun damage, which can leave the hair feeling dry and brittle. Plus, if you're blonde, this will prevent your strands from getting brassy.
Nothing refreshes skin quite like this water mist. (Okay, a dip in the pool would do the trick, but maybe not when you've just meticulously applied your third layer of sun cream.)
This is my go-to summer scent. It's fruity but warm and addictive at the same time. Plus, the bottle just screams summertime.
Now, the packing list you need to see before you head off on your summer holiday.
