This year's Oscars brought us a plethora of beauty inspiration, but the pixie cut was one of the unexpected trends of the evening. Famous women from Audrey Hepburn to Halle Berry have embraced the short 'do in years past, and 2017 brought the trend back into the spotlight.

While Scarlett Johansson has been a longtime champion of the pixie, other stars including Janelle Monáe, Ruth Negga, and Michelle Williams stepped out with the cropped style. They each showcased different iterations of the cut, from super short and chic to wispy and undone, but these ladies all made a serious case for the short 'do.
