Becca Cosmetics is a makeup brand responsible for some seriously ubiquitous and well-loved products. Its cult-classic highlighters are the first to come to mind. (Champagne Pop, anyone? It's basically the stuff of legend.) Oh, and while we're on the topic, its latest line of highlighters, the aptly named Light Chaser Highlighters ($34), are all inspired by different gemstones. I can tell you from firsthand experience that they make your face a dewy, glowy orb of radiating alienesque light (in a good way). But I digress. The newest product announcement to come from the brand is totally unexpected. And we mean totally unexpected, as in it's never been done before. Get this: Becca's releasing a bright, bubblegum-pink translucent setting powder.
As you can see, this is a loose setting powder that has undergone a millennial pink makeover. It's actually a new iteration of its Soft Light Blurring Powder ($38), which formerly only came in a peachy nude called Golden Hour.
If you cringe at the thought of a bright pink face, know that the effect is promised to be incredibly subtle on the skin—after all, it is a translucent powder meant to have an illuminating effect. In other words, it will lighten and brighten your skin without leaving a chalky cast.
Simply swirl a brush into the powder, tap off the excess, and apply to "any area on the face that you want to set and have makeup last longer." Since it has a soft luminosity, the brand also recommends dusting some under the eyes and on the décolletage for a brightening effect.
