You might already be aware that today (September 21) is Bright Pink Lipstick Day. Spearheaded by Australian charity Pink Hope, Bright Pink Lipstick Day is an opportunity to wear your favourite pink lippie, but more importantly, bring about a conversation surrounding breast cancer. Pink Hope drive this initiative in the hopes that women will proactively seek out information about their family's health history, specifically in relation to breast and ovarian cancer (because knowledge is power).
At Byrdie Australia, we're rallying behind the cause, and are already running a mental list of all the pink lip colours we love to wear. The team managed to whittle our choices down to one favourite, so without further ado, keep scrolling to shop the pink lipsticks team Byrdie Australia will be wearing today (and every other day).
"MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Fanfare has the yellow-pink tones that work with my skintone, plus it's buildable while still being semi-glossy, and has a creamy, balmy feel. Perfect for spring."
"I know I'm only supposed to choose one, but this pack specifically created for Pink Lipstick Day is too good to pass up. My pick of the bunch though, is the peachy colour on the right hand side. Perfect for my olive skin tone (and summer)."
"I'm not usually a pink lipstick girl, I usually stick with red and nude, but this one by Covergirl is really creamy and a nice mix between pink and nude. It's a really similar colour to my blush, too. Best part is it's always on sale."
"My go-to pink lipstick for some time has been Tom Ford's Lip Color in Spanish Pink. It's a rose-spiked nude that flatters my fair complexion, and it always makes me feel pulled together. Plus, Shanina rates it, so there's that."
"I love this one because it glides on so smooth and brings out the natural colour of my lips (with the added benefit of being super hydrating). Perfect for day and night wear."
