About My Skin: I have small to medium-sized pores

My skin is combination and also sensitive, and I definitely have pores. The majority of my pores are on either side of my nose around the cheek area, and some days they look larger than others. I also get blackheads often, so I tend to use chemical exfoliants and products that target the look of pores and blackheads, too, while controlling any excess oil. I have a routine skincare regimen for AM/PM and stick to it nearly every day (I’ll admit, I’m not perfect) and some brands I reach for often are Biologique Recherche, La Roche Posay, and Skinceuticals.

How To Apply: Saturate a cotton pad and smooth on face

Applying this leave-on toner is pretty straightforward. After cleansing, saturate a cotton pad with the toner and apply it all over the face in an upward, sweeping motion, making sure everything’s covered. You will need to wait a few minutes until the toner has fully dried before moving onto your next skincare steps, and you can use this toner in both your AM and PM skincare routine.

The Results: Clean, matte skin

The first few things I noticed upon using this toner was that it had a slightly different smell to it than other toners I’ve used. As it was drying on my skin, it almost had a slight fishy smell which I noticed each time I used the product. Another thing that got my attention was the excess oil, dirt, and makeup it removed after I had cleansed my skin at night. I will say that it got a lot of extra stuff off I thought had been removed during cleansing, proving the point that toner can really help prepare the skin for serums and treatment creams.

My pores did look slightly smaller after each use, and my skin was matte which aided in helping pores not be so visible.

This toner is not going to leave your skin feeling or looking radiant, it dries matte and helps control oil and shine. The toner did not interfere with any of my other skincare products, yet I was careful in how much I applied to not irritate my sensitive skin with the salicylic acid

The Value: Worth the investment

While $45 is a higher price point and not considered budget-friendly, this toner is worth investing in if you have oily skin that tends to break out and the look of your pores is exaggerated. It will deliver results in helping to minimize the look of pores and control the oil, in return keeping your skin clean and looking fresh.
