This Is How Pat McGrath's New Highlighter Sticks Look IRL

Any time we get word of a new Pat McGrath launch, we're there. Just when we thought she couldn't one-up her last launch of 14 lip glosses (which have the most divine, hydrating formulas, BTW), she proved us wrong. McGrath, also known as the Mother of Makeup, is releasing Skin Fetish: a collection of divine illuminators. Think illuminators that come in a dual-ended stick. And they're just as amazing as they sound. One side is a glossy balm, and the other is a creamy highlighter. Just in time for summer, your glow-up is about to be lit.

If these sound familiar to you, you're not going crazy. These illuminator sticks are a resurgence of McGrath's original balms that debuted a few years back in the same shades and one addition. The highlighters come in a pearlescent nude, a gleaming golden, and a lustrous bronze. The other side is a translucent, light-catching balm that'll give you the ultimate dewy finish. The balm is infused with aloe, argan oils, and hyaluronic acid, so it feels super hydrating on the skin.

"I wanted to bring the sublime glow I have been creating for more than 25 years—with the purity and refinement that captures each model's individuality—to everyday beauty," McGrath said in a press release. The beauty of these balms is how customizable they are. You can blend and mix shades however you please. This is what the bronze illuminator looks like on my skin tone.

And this is how gorgeous it looks on Byrdie Editorial Director Faith Xue's skin tone. Look at that glow.

Along with the illuminator stick, McGrath is also dropping a stunning highlighter palette. Introducing the Sublime Skin Highlighting Trio, three shades that catch the light like no other. The palette is completed by iridescent pink, fine gold, and bronze nectar shades. The color payoff of these shades is major, and they go on so smooth. A quick dust of these on your skin will give it a beautiful, gleaming finish. A tip from McGrath: "Layer [these] over the Skin Fetish Highlighter + Balm Duo [sticks] for the ultimate in aliengelic nirvana." That's right—if you want to bring your glow from the highlighter stick up a notch, just sweep some of these on top.

Last but certainly not least, McGrath is releasing a baby-soft buffer brush. It's made to blend all textures. From lightweight balms to creamy and gel-like textures, these bristles allow you to build and blend as much as your heart desires.

The Highlighter + Balm Duos are $55 a pop, the Highlighter Trio is $68, and the buffer brush is $25. Mark your calendars and set your alerts now: These launches will be available on on June 21 and on June 28. They offer up that ideal lit-from-within glow to take your summer look to the next level, so you might want to jump on these fast before it's too late.
