Let me just say, Pat McGrath Labs Mega Mothership: Celestial Divinity Eyeshadow Palette did not disappoint. If anything, it exceeded my expectations tenfold. About My Skin: Oily lids

I've never been able to get an eyeshadow to last on my lids through the entire night. My oily lids cause creasing, smudging, and the like. For that reason, I don't invest a lot in eyeshadow palettes. However, after reading countless reviews of this palette, my interest was piqued. Needless to say, the reviews were correct and I am officially hooked. After literally one swipe of the eyeshadow, my eyelids were exploding with color. Spoiler: After countless tests, the eyeshadows did not budge at all.

Shade Range: Versatile

This palette contains 18 shades with finishes like metallic, glitter, and iridescent. Needless to say, there is bound to be a perfect shade for you in this palette. I have used every single shade and can confirm they are very versatile (throw on the Lunar Champagne with mascara and that’s an everyday look) but can also be dressed up for special occasions. The rich shades are easy to work with and a little bit of color goes a long way.

How To Apply: Use a shadow brush or your fingertips

The palette offers a mix of glitters, metallics, and matte shades—so, there are a few different ways you can apply. I like to apply the matte shades with a tapered blending eyeshadow brush (like the Fenty Beauty Tapered Blending Brush 210) to give me blurred edges and evenly blend the eyeshadow. For the metallic and glitter shades, I like to apply with my fingertips for a heavier concentration of color (usually on the center of my lid or inner corners). However, as with every eyeshadow palette, there is room to apply in whatever way you feel comfortable.

The Results: Creamy, pigmented, long-lasting shadows

Aside from the fact that these eyeshadows apply like a dream, they also stay on all day without creasing at all. All you need is one swipe for a high-pigment payoff. Every single shade is creamy and the application is foolproof. Truthfully, creating a wide array of looks is easy, even for a novice like me.

The Value: Pricey but worth it

Compared to other holiday palettes, Pat McGrath Labs Mega Mothership: Celestial Divinity Eyeshadow Palette falls on the pricier side (but certainly isn't the most expensive holiday palette). What distinguishes it from others is the 18 shades. All other holiday palettes are either more expensive with fewer shades or less expensive with fewer shades.

Our Verdict: Obsessed with it

Pat McGrath Labs Mega Mothership: Celestial Divinity Eyeshadow Palette is a must-have for anyone looking to upgrade their eyeshadow. It can be worn every day or on special occasions, and it’s also a dream to apply. With excellent color pay-off, long-wear, and a super-creamy formula, you’ll want to wear it every single day.
