Pat McGrath Supreme Red Lipstick

Pat McGrath

Straight out of Pat McGrath Labs comes a collaboration fit for the streets of New York (or anywhere, really, but the NYC vibes are strong). Reigning streetwear retailer, Supreme, paired up with the iconic celebrity makeup artist to launch the red lipstick we’ve always wanted. Think: equals parts high-intensity, siren-style red, and hydrating, creamy formula. Plus, hype-worthy packaging. If you're thinking it sounds perfect, you're probably right.

This is Supreme’s first-ever beauty collaboration in the brand's 26-year history. The lipstick features McGrath's cult-favorite formulation, MatteTrance, and will be available in one shade only, aptly called "Supreme." Described in the press release as “an instantly iconic bright red,” and we concur.

McGrath has been called the most influential make-up artist in the world by Vogue, and, in 2019 she was included in Time's 100 most influential people list, so ground-breaking launches and newsworthy headlines are in her blood. Her status in the world of beauty is highly-regarded to say the least—from painting famous faces like Naomi Campbell to creating uniquely, bold makeup looks for the runway. Since launching Pat McGrath Labs in 2015, her color palettes have become widely renowned for their abilities to show up across all skin tones.

Making the perfect red and then making it universally flattering is no easy feat, but we’ve seen the transformative powers of her makeup time and time again—so we have no doubt the same will be the case with this new product. And, of course, we'll update you as soon as we get our hands (and lips) on it.

The legendary MUA’s new releases frequently sell out at Sephora and Supreme’s limited drops are just as coveted, so it's no surprise this drop had the same fate.

The lipstick, which went on sale on September 10 exclusively on supremenewyork.com and Supreme stores globally, sold out in eight seconds online. There's been no restock date confirmed making those you got their hands on a tube one of the lucky few. In conclusion, the hype is REAL.
