Models Tell Us the Products That Save Their Skin During Fashion Week

Updated 09/13/18

NYFW is likely a model's busiest, most exciting time of the year. Imagine running from show to show, walking the runways of the most respected designers in the world, while wearing the coolest clothes. Le sigh, a girl can only dream. We marvel over the dreamy makeup looks models don at each show. The collaborative imaginations of both the designer and makeup artist come to life through enchanting beauty looks. However, to execute each look requires a lot of products, which eventually can wreak havoc on the skin.

Throughout all the commotion, models maintain the most glowing, poreless, and pristine skin. So, of course, we can't help but wonder which skincare products they use in their downtime to repair their skin from all the makeup. We asked nine models for their skincare secrets during fashion week. From simple oils you can find at your local grocery store to naturally derived formulas, keep scrolling for the products that save their skin during fashion week.

“I love using rose water from my friend’s brand. She makes it herself and uses essential oils and rose extracts. It’s perfect.”

“Literally all of my beauty stuff is from Lush. My suitcase was so heavy coming here with all of my Lush products. During fashion week, I use their Sleepy Body Cream and their Twilight Spray for nighttime to get to sleep. Their twilight spray cures my insomnia. To wake up, I use their Don’t Look at Me face mask."

“I love using the Neutrogena scrub in the morning to wash my face. I also use the Clean and Clear Moisturizer in the evening. It makes my skin feel so soft, clean, and it takes all of my makeup off. Some products are too drying or too oily. These products balance out my skin.”

“I only use coconut oil. It’s really good for makeup removal, and it’s a deep moisturizer. I use it on my hair and skin. I bathe in it. In the morning when I’m tired, I use rose water from this French brand. It smells good and it’s so fresh. It’s 100% natural."
