When it comes to picking the right nail polish, we look for a couple major factors: pigment, longevity, and precision of application. But one key factor that we truly appreciate NOT finding in our bottles of polish is toxins. Any time a beauty product comes sans major toxic ingredients, we’re hooked, which is why this fall, we went in search of nail polishes that aren’t harmful to our precious nails.
To see some of our favorite (nontoxic) autumnal hues, keep scrolling!
Scotch Naturals Nail Polish ($15) in Hot Toddy
This brown-gray hue is perfect for fall and reminds us of the slightly faded earthy tones that appear after summer.
Treat Collection Nail Polish ($18) in Celebrity
Candy-apple red: Could you get more fall than that? This color is so bright and vibrant—almost good enough to eat.
Chrome Girl Nail Polish ($12) in Malibu Chill
Despite the fairly summery name, this polish mimics a cozy cashmere sweater—an absolute fall staple.
Zoya Nail Polish ($8) in Chanelle
This shade is sweet and warm like a delicious caramel apple. Is your mouth watering yet?
Chanel Nail Polish ($27) in Charivari
While deep purple is a common autumnal hue, this Chanel shade is more of a smoky amethyst. We’re predicting it will be a go-to color this season.
Essie Nail Polish ($9) in Under the Twilight
Instead of the more obvious navy shade we see so often, this shade by Essie has a purple undertone—just stunning!
Butter London Nail Polish ($15) in Toff
Since Cashmere Rose is one of the Pantone colors of the season, we found it fitting to try a nontoxic rosy hue to wear on our digits. We’re digging the dusty vintage vibe of this particular shade.
