If we were to tell you that an eye shadow palette featuring 15 shades of fall-inspired splendor was expected to sell out within the hour, would you believe us?
What if we told you said eye shadow palette was priced at an admittedly gulp-worthy $129? Despite the fact that the beauty-loving internet community loves a hot bargain when it comes to cult-worthy makeup product, there's a comparable frenzy for the lust-worthy likes of eye shadow. (Refer to the pandemonium that typically surrounds launches by brands like Urban Decay). Especially, it seems, when it comes to Natasha Denona's intimately sized (yet drool-worthy) line of eye shadow palettes.
Though the Tel Aviv–based makeup artist has an unwavering fan base, her product line is a treasure trove that has somehow remained a rather well-kept secret within the beauty world. Praised by celebrities and makeup artists alike, Denona's products are exclusively sold through three (yes, three) retailers (MakeupAddiction, British site BeautyBay.com, and Sephora) and have a historical knack of selling out almost instantaneously upon initial debut. Case in point: this summer's Sunset Palette, which sold out at Sephora within an hour of the hotly anticipated drop and has remained out of stock ever since.
As Racked reported, Natasha Denona originally created her products exclusively for students who attended her makeup academy in Tel Aviv. In fact, it wasn’t until 2015 that she decided to launch her own line, and by the end of the year, Sephora picked up the product.
So what makes the palettes so special? For the most part, it comes down to the high-caliber ingredient list. Namely dimethicone and Italian talc (which is jet-milled and yields luxe, creamy texture and unbeatable pigment).
Intrigued? The Lila Palette, Dedona's newest addition, made its online debut today and will be available in select Sephora stores September 18. Filled with 15 perfect-for-fall shades, the palette is sure to go fast, so we recommend a quick follow-through.
