NARS Liquid Blush
Not Byrdie Clean
Nars Cosmetics' Liquid Blush is one of the best I've ever used. It's very pigmented, but can easily be blended out for sheerer looks. A major bonus for me is the way it dries down: Not oily or greasy like many other liquid blushes, but with a beautiful, natural, almost satin-like finish.

I have to confess: I'm totally one of those people who is easily influenced by seeing a product on TikTok. The app is where I get much of my beauty inspiration. Two users who inspire me are Mikayla Nogueira (one of the few creators whose videos I don't miss) and Madison Beer... both of whom shared videos of themselves using Nars Cosmetics' Liquid Blush.
I'm a blush girl, and the brand's iconic Orgasm is one of my all-time favorites due to its lovely pink hue and subtle glitter. So my eyes lit up when I learned that a liquid version was available—and in a variety of colors. I knew I had to give it a try. Keep reading to find out if it lived up to my expectations.
Active ingredients: Monoi and tamanu oils
Shade Range: Five shades available (Dolce Vita, Luster, Orgasm, Torrid, and Sex Appeal)
About the brand: François Nars, a French makeup artist and photographer, established Nars Cosmetics in 1994. The brand is notable for its fashionable color ranges, sumptuous textures, and refined designs.
About My Skin: Dry (and often made up)
Blush is one of my favorite makeup products. I adore how a splash of color on my cheeks can draw attention to my features and make me seem more awake. Whether I'm going for a full-on glam look or a more natural appearance, blush is always a must. At the moment, I have about five blushes, ranging from powders to creams, that I use interchangeably. Most of my preferred options have at least a touch of shimmer, which I love—the more radiance, the better. For the Nars Liquid Blush, I tried the shade Torrid, a warm coral with golden shimmer.
The first step in successful makeup application is prep. As someone who has dry skin, moisturizer is a must for me. I have been using the Korres Santorini Grape Poreless Skin Cream ($36) to keep my face plump and hydrated. I went for a glam look, using primer, foundation, contour, highlighter, and lashes.
How to Apply: A little goes a long way
Because the Nars Liquid Blush is highly pigmented, a small amount goes a long way. I pump some onto the back of my hand and then use a brush or sponge to apply it to my cheeks. Another way is to pour a tiny amount onto your fingers, add a few dots to your face, and then blend it out using your brush or sponge. Only half a pump is needed for a natural look, but as this blush is buildable, one pump will give you a beautiful, noticeable glow. I added a bit of my favorite highlighter from Charlotte Tilbury to blend the product, and I loved the outcome. The combo has become one of my go-to's.
The Results: A long-lasting soft dewy finish
My initial reaction when I felt the texture of the Nars Cosmetics Liquid Blush was "wow, this product feels very lightweight." I was astounded by the pigmentation when I rubbed it on my hand, and this was just from one pump. When I put it on my cheekbones, it felt creamy, moisturizing, and light. It blended wonderfully with my contour and highlighter. It felt fantastic even when I placed it over my bare skin when I wanted a more natural look. I was pretty pleased with the glow of this blush; it is noticeable, but not overpowering.
The blush wore wonderfully throughout the day. The product has not separated regardless of the temperature and has really impressed me in terms of coverage and wear. It looks great over foundation and on bare skin to give some color to my no-makeup looks. It has performed far above my expectations, and I am now totally obsessed.
The Value: Pricey, but fair given the quality
The Nars Liquid Blush costs $30, which is higher than the price of most liquid and cream blushes but for good reason. It contains 0.5 oz/ 15 ml of product, which is a lot when you just need a tiny quantity. This blush lasts for hours without caking due to its incredible formula. If you want to enhance your blush game, this one is well worth the money.

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush: The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush ($20) is a weightless, long-lasting liquid blush available in both matte and dewy finishes. Although it is very pigmented, I find it's difficult to blend if too much product is applied. It also contains 0.25 oz/ 7.5 ml of product, which is much less than the Nars Liquid Blush.
Saie Dew Blush Liquid Cheek Blush: Saie's Dew Blush Liquid Cheek Blush ($22) is a water-based gel with a creamy, blendable consistency and sustainable packaging that is environmentally friendly. Compared to the Nars Liquid Blush, it has a more subtle finish and contains less product (0.40 oz/ 12 ml).
The Nars Cosmetics Liquid Blush is now my all-time favorite—it's seriously that good. Because the consistency is so thin and liquidy, it does not get thick or cakey on the skin. It offers the ideal amount of radiance and instantly transforms my makeup looks. I'm fascinated and will most likely repurchase it for the rest of my life.
