Michael B. Jordan is officially the "Sexiest Man Alive"—and we have no complaints! Neither does the 33-year-old actor and philanthropist, who was adorned with the title by People magazine yesterday (Nov. 18). 

"It's a cool feeling," Jordan reveals in the cover story about his new moniker. However, despite having some of the best teeth, abs, and self-care habits in the industry, the Black Panther actor admits that there was a running joke amongst his circle that the highly-sought out honor was one thing he "probably [wasn’t] not going to get."

An "Old School" Fitness Routine

Known for his chiseled chest and rock-solid abs, Jordan is no stranger to hard work in the gym. A High-Protein Nutrition Regimen

Jordan is no stranger to a strict eating program. In conjunction with his hardcore workout routines, the entertainer successfully built 20lbs of muscles for his iconic role in Creed thanks to his nutrition plan, which consisted of approximately five meals a day (every 2-3 hours), along with protein shakes and snacks in between. On the menu, Jordan would often eat "grilled chicken, lean proteins, rice, broccoli, and a lot of water."

While Jordan is often preparing his body for action-packed movie roles, he does enjoy a cheat day every now and again. When he's not training for a role, he indulgences in donuts, cheesesteaks, pasta, pizza, and rice and beans and regularly documents his foodie passions on Instagram.

A Solid Meditation Practice

A strong advocate for self-care and self-love, Jordan has been very forthright about his engagement in deep breathing meditation. Sighting it was his answer to remaining grounded and centered, the actor also accredits it to protecting his energy.

A Low-maintenence Routine

When it comes to his self-care regime, Jordan prefers to keep things simple. In fact, the Creed actor’s "low-maintenance" morning routine consists of showering, moisturizing, and putting on some cologne (below is his hack for smelling amazing).

Although he likes to keep his daily self-care practices to a minimum, don’t be surprised if you spot him in a spa for a mani-pedi every once in a while.

A Dedication to Smelling Good

Many of us find delight in smelling our best, and Jordan is no exception to this. "Mahogany Teakwood from Bath & Body Works but better," was the answer one fan gave who got close enough to get a whiff of MBJ and was asked about his smell later.

While we’re not sure exactly what cologne is his signature scent, Jordan did share his special method of smelling his best. "After the shower, I spread [cologne] on my body after I moisturize. Then, I get dressed and spray a couple of pumps right after I put my clothes on. You don't want too much—I have to layer it underneath my clothes," he shares.

A Healthy Confidence Level

The New Jersey native credits the secret to his impeccable confidence to "fully realizing that you can’t make everybody happy."

"You could have all the good intentions in the world, and you’ll still get controversy or some type of negativity thrown your way," he tells People. "Sometimes you’ve just got to trust the universe, you know? You’ve got to just believe in yourself and do what you feel is really right. I think that adds up."
