Upon graduation, and after a short stint in wedding planning, Melissa made the jump from Oregon to New York and started interning for Bauer Xcel Media. She learned the ins and outs of beauty, fashion, and lifestyle in an e-commerce and SEO-driven lens, and helped grow the number of articles available on beauty and skincare for women over 50.
From there, she worked her way from assistant to lifestyle editor writing and editing for several brands including CollegeFashionista and The Spruce. She is now a freelance writer and editor contributing to sites like The Zoe Report and Byrdie.
Melissa received her B.S. in journalism from the University of Oregon.
