Updated Saturday, May 19:
In a release from the royal website, it was announced that celebrity makeup artist Daniel Martin (who works with Jessica Alba and Elisabeth Moss) helped Markle do her makeup. Just as her wedding dress was unexpectedly designed by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy, a French house, her makeup was unexpectedly done professionally.
If there's one thing we've learned about Meghan Markle since she got engaged, it's that she is one chilled-out bride-to-be. Given that she's marrying into royalty, the Suits actress has retained a sense of normality throughout, and it's not about to stop on the big day either.
Original story published Wednesday, May 16:
According to The Express, Meghan will be doing her own makeup—sans her makeup artist Lydia Sellers. Is she low-key or what? According to the publication, she will actually be calling on the help of two of her friends. The paper reported that "she's got two friends doing it for her from America. They're not professionals—just close friends of hers."
We know Meghan is a huge beauty fanatic and credits products like Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ($64) and MAC Kohl Eyeliner in Teddy ($18) as some of her favorites, so she'll have a great selection to use on the big day. Whatever products she chooses, we're confident she'll make for a beautiful bride nonetheless.
And if you recall, Kate Middleton also did her own makeup on her wedding day. Getting married and tempted to follow in the footsteps of royalty? Check out our expert guide to doing your own wedding makeup,
