It's a massive understatement to say that summer is going to look quite different this year. As we practice social distancing and safely quarantine in our homes, we know that the products we'd normally turn to this time of year might not be needed on standby as much as a typical summer would beckon, but that doesn't mean we aren't planning to make the most of this season with new (and new-to-us) beauty and wellness products. Below, we're sharing the items we've recently tried that are already heightening our summer spirits.

"This toner from new beauty brand Isla is like a ray of sunshine in my bathroom cabinet (and not just because the juice is literally yellow). I've been struggling with an annoying breakout for the past few months and I swear this toner is what helped me finally get through on the other side. It's made with 100% natural ingredients, from calendula extract to witch hazel, to pomegranate fruit extract, and I'm now addicted to its herbal-y scent and the way my skin looks smoother and brighter after just a few weeks."
"I'm obsessed with anything peach—seriously, it's the most underrated fruit and color—and now I can finally smell like one, thanks to this summery fragrance from Krigler. It smells like a peach gummy at first spritz and instantly puts me in a better state of mind. It has a drier, more subtle finish, which is fine with me because I like to spritz it throughout the day when I'm working from home to give myself a mood boost. It's my new favorite summer fragrance (and peach accessory)."
"These sheets have been keeping me crisp and cool as the temps have been rising. They make such a difference that I wake up feeling refreshed instead of clammy and groggy. I highly recommend these to anyone trying to have a restful sleep this summer."
"This body scrub is luxurious, smells amazing, and is the perfect way to slough off all of my dead winter skin. I love that it actually lathers up when scrubbing and doesn’t leave my skin stripped or dry after. The grit is also super small so there’s never a drain issue post rinse."
"I've been experimenting with a lot of different sunless tanners lately, because, quite frankly, being socially isolated is the best time to risk the common negative side effects of tanning products (like streaks and blotches). One of my latest favorites has been this new tanning water mousse from Jergens that dries quickly and delivers an even, subtle wash of color. It's not as dark as I'd normally hope for, but the light application means you can build without regretting a heavy initial hand. What I also love about this mousse is that it lasts for days without separating around your joints like many other formulas. The icing on the cake is that it smells floral and fresh, a warm welcome since the typical DHA scent can be nauseating."
"Retinol in a facial sunless tanning product is genius, IMO. Pairing an ingredient I already consistently turn to for smooth, clear skin with a subtle hint of bronze means I can wake up to a noticeably more radiant complexion each time I use it. After applying a small dime-sized amount on my face, neck, and chest, I let it dry and follow up with a lightweight moisturizer. I plan to use it all summer long."
"Now that I've been spending longer periods of time outside, my mask has caused a ton of breakouts along my chin. The hot air, the sweat, the fabric—it all creates the perfect recipe for a pimple. So, I've been using Paula's Choice Daily Skin Clearing Treatment with 5% benzoyl peroxide as a spot treatment on days when I know I'll have my mask on for a while, as well as immediately after coming home. It really (really) works."
"Though I'm not generally wearing makeup on a daily basis, I do usually put on a tinted sunscreen. And, anything tinted is going to end up moving, melting, or smudging throughout the day—especially if you add a mask to the mix. This setting spray offers some hold and extra SPF, so I use it indoors as well to combat damage from the sunlight that leaks through my windows."
"This facial spray is a summer staple in my routine and has been for a while. It immediately cools me down (helpful since we have yet to add our AC unit into the window for the season), refreshes my skin, and overall boosts my mood. Sometimes I spray it just to get that fresh scent of cucumber in the air, which reminds me of sipping on fruit water by the pool with family and friends."
