As beauty editors, we get bombarded with a ton of new products every day (we know—tough life). Reviewed is a series where we report on some of the best products we’ve tried. Whether it’s a drugstore lipstick that lasted all day or a hand cream that saved us this winter, you’ll find all of our favorites in this column. Enjoy!
To say that my skin can get a bit rosy is an understatement. When I’m excited, flustered, warm, cold, or even sleepy, my face tends to run red. It’s a problem—especially because I don’t usually feel like applying a full face of makeup. Enter Marc Jacobs Beauty’s Cover(t) Stick Color Corrector ($42). This portable, twist-up stick makes color correcting so easy. The three specially formatted shades are like an Instagram filter for your face.
My two faves, Co(vert) Affairs and Bright Now (ha, get it?), include marbleized hues to brighten dullness and neutralize redness. The former combines orange and green, which works to banish that ever-annoying flush that pops up during the day, and the latter is a mix of pink and lilac to brighten up your skin.
The formula is balmy, velvety, and soft and slides on easily without a brush. It also has this amazing blurring effect, where it evens your complexion and seemingly rids your skin of imperfections. I blend a bit with my fingers and apply my favorite tinted moisturizer on top. But it can be applied all over or just used to spot treat. Easy!
Luckily it comes out this month, so you won’t have to wait long.
Until then, here’s how to use every type of color-correcting concealer.
