I Used Lush's New Twilight Spray and Had the Best Sleep of My Adult Life

There are a lot of things I enjoy doing. Sleep, however, is not one of them. I know, I know, who am I?!

Of course I enjoy sleep when I actually can sleep. I adore it, love it even. That feeling when you wake up from a sleep so deep not even a car alarm could wake you—but my problem is those kinds of nights just never, ever happen. I'm a "wake up to every single sound, 17 times and arise at 6 am because it's pointless staying in bed" kind of girl. Until now. Until I tried Lush's new Twilight Body Spray (£20).

Infused with lavender and hints of sweet ylang-ylang oil, this handy spray is essentially Sleepy Body Lotion in a bottle, with fewer ingredients. You may remember Lush's Sleepy Body Lotion went viral too, and for good reason. I personally didn't get on with this product, and it might have something to do with the added oatmeal. I found it a little too rich, and the smell of oatmeal jarred with my nighttime routine.

Twilight feels fresher. It fills you with a harmonious blend of scents that don't overpower you—they leave you feeling balanced and calm. The floral undertones and tonka absolute (an ingredient that can also help to reduce inflammation) scent helped me drift off into a dreamless, and un-spoilt sleep. I simply sprayed it on my body, a little on my pyjamas and around my room. My boyfriend did comment that the bedroom smelt too strong, but he took back his comment this morning after he too slept like a baby.

This morning I woke up feeling rested, not groggy, and I probably had one of the best nights sleep I've had in months. Basically, I'm sold and you should be too.
