Anything for mother earth.

Aluminum Refillable Bottles

Love Beauty and Planet

If you're looking to streamline your beauty shelf this spring, Love Beauty and Planet is here to help. The brand—known for its effective, earth-friendly formulas—is making good on its mission to reduce plastic use that negatively impacts the planet. With just two weeks until Earth Day (April 22), the company debuted a sustainable initiative: aluminum shampoo and conditioner bottles that are refillable, reusable, and available at retail stores now.

"We’re proud to be the first beauty brand to introduce aluminum shampoo and conditioner refillable in mass retail stores," Global Brand Director Sonika Malhotra tells us.

"We can all do little things to make a big difference. For us, sustainability needs to be accessible," Malhotra shares. "By providing our award-winning shampoo and conditioner in refillable bottles, we’re able to produce less waste. This allows our consumers to play a role in closing the plastic loop," the co-founder explains.

At this time, refills are available in two of their award-winning formulas: Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower ($10) and Murumuru Butter & Rose ($10). Additionally, the brand's formulas for conditioners and shampoos, including water, are made up of at least 90% of naturally derived content.

According to the brand, Love Beauty and Planet uses only "natural ingredients" that still reflect their original structure and have minimal chemical processing. So not only will you reduce your carbon footprint, you'll benefit from a naturally-derived formula that's ideal for hair health.

So, how does it work? Once you’re finished with your shampoo or conditioner, simply purchase a refill ($15) and reuse your empties. Think about it—the more you refill, the more you can help reduce plastic use and environmental impact. Sounds like a sustainable win to us.

"Love Beauty and Planet prides itself on taking actions that deliver beauty benefits and sensory experience while doing a little good to the planet," Malhotra shares before concluding, "It’s now easier than ever to make more sustainable choices right in the aisles (or virtual aisles!) of Target."

The products are currently available at Target in-store and online.
