Lizzo and her glam team regularly serve up looks, so we had high expectations for the 2021 Grammy’s—they did not disappoint. Lizzo showed up looking, and likely feeling, good as hell. She paired her super long locks with a smoky eye and even longer lashes. These Grammy-worthy lashes are drugstore staples from lash brand KISS. The super-affordable KISS Lash Couture Matte Black in Matte Sheer ($8) are faux mink lashes that are matte and jet black for a fuller, more glamorous look.
“I wanted to contrast the softness of the Balmain gown with a striking smoky feline shape and kissable soft lips and a statement lash," Lizzo's makeup artist Alexx Mayo explains. "The KISS Matte Black lashes helped me achieve maximum glam and depth around her lashes.”
While he's a pro who could probably put on false lashes with his eyes closed, he broke it down so that even beginners can nail the look.
- Place the lash against your lash line and trim if needed.
- Apply your adhesive. He used KISS Lash Couture Strip Lash Adhesive in Clear ($6). Wait 30 seconds for the adhesive to become clear and tacky.
- Last but not least, apply the lash to your lash line and wait a few moments for it to fully dry and boom, you’re ready for the red carpet.
As for Lizzo's silky-straight hair, her hairstylist Shelby Swain used the ghd Helios Hair Dryer ($249) to blow dry hair and followed up with Matrix Total Results Miracle Creator Multi-Tasking Hair Treatment ($18) to smooth hair and add shine. Finally, she used ghd Max Styler ($219) to smooth down her hair for a glass-like shine. Shine on, Lizzo, our Grammys queen.
