Experience
Lisa began her beauty career as a junior in college when she interned at QVC. After graduating from Drexel University in Philadelphia and moving to NYC, Lisa worked her way up at top women's magazines including Fitness, Allure, All You, Health, and Real Simple. Now, as a freelancer, she's contributing to an even wider range of outlets including Byrdie, People, Mother.ly, Cosmopolitan, Well & Good, and more. During her time in the industry, she honed her craft as a beauty expert and also developed her love of fitness and all things wellness. Whatever new buzzy trend is going on, she wants to put it to the test and see if it really works or if it can actually change the way someone feels. Beauty-wise, if she had to choose one thing in the morning– either makeup or hair, she's always going to be going for that smokey eye. In her writing, she always looks through the lens of what's going to appeal most and work best for readers, some of the things that are always top of mind are price, performance, and ease of use.
