It would be an understatement to say we live for Lady Gaga's ever-changing beauty looks. We're admittedly obsessed. The singer and actress is the queen of dope looks that never disappoint. She knows a thing or two on how to wow onlookers with non-boring beauty choices. It's been her thing since she stepped on the scene. Her MO was no different for the premiere of her first big-time role in the movie A Star Is Born. She walked the red carpet for her UK premiere today and looked so stunning.
Wondering what it's like to glam up an experimental beauty queen like Gaga? Same. Luckily, we got the inside scoop from celebrity hairstylist Frederic Aspiras of The Only Agency. He's the man behind her insanely gorgeous updo she owned the red carpet with. Gaga wore her platinum-blonde locks swept back into a sleek updo adorned with romantic, swirly, pinned curls. Aspiras softly parted her bangs in the center, letting her face-framing tendrils fall to the side.
For this particular style, Aspiras and Gaga were inspired by Alexander McQueen's fall 2014 runway look—hence her breathtaking, pearl-encrusted McQueen gown. "I like to call the hair look I gave Gaga for the London premiere 'modern Elizabethan,'" Aspiras shares with Byrdie. Because curious minds want to know about the collaboration process when dreaming up such an innovative hair look, we asked. "It starts with inspiration," he says. "For example, a sketch of the custom gown by the designer or a specific event.
Then, Haus of Gaga meets to discuss the look and we bring our ideas."
To execute this updo, Aspiras relied on various Amika products and Cricket's new hair brushes. "I love Amika products because they're lightweight and good for the hair," Aspiras says. "Cricket's new hair brushes really are amazing!"

To ensure Gaga's style stays locked in place all night, Aspiras uses a surprising trick with a product you can find at your local drugstore for as little as $2. "I use the oldest hair trick in the book, a hair net," he admits. "With the amount of intricate updos I've created, this is the best tool! You can find it at your local drugstore in your hair color."
As for other products Aspiras is loving and using on his star-studded lineup of clients right now, they're astonishingly affordable. "I'm obsessed with the new L'Oréal Ever Pure Hair Sheet Mask," he says. "This at-home treatment is the best way to get that salon conditioning treatment at home. And of course hair nets."
Lady Gaga's movie A Star Is Born will be in theaters worldwide on October 5.
