Regardless of whether or not you like to keep up with the Kardashians, you’ve probably heard rumblings about the latest drama involving Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods, and her sister Khloe Kardashian’s fiancé, Tristan Thompson. We’re not a gossip website, so if this is the first you’re hearing of it, you won’t find all the sordid details here. We are, however, a beauty website, which means that we report on beauty happenings—and we couldn’t help but notice that Kylie Jenner may have made a very pointed statement about her thoughts on the matter via her cosmetics line, Kylie Cosmetics. As of today, the Jordy shade from her collaboration with Woods just went on sale for 50%, report HarpersBazaar.com. The raspberry-hued shade is marked with the “Best Value” sticker, and is now $13.50, as opposed to the the original price of $27. Other Lip Kit shade names that are currently on sale include High Maintenance, Mink, Head Over Heels, and—wait for it—Shady. Strangely, these shades ring in at $14.50—a whole dollar more than Jordy’s sale price.
When the collection first dropped last year, Jenner announced it via a heartfelt Instagram post lauding her friendship with Woods and noting that she “considers her family.” Could Jenner's pointed decision to mark down the Jordy shade be a subliminal statement about her thoughts on the whole ordeal? Nothing else in the Kylie x Jordan collection is on sale at the moment, and Jenner has yet to take any newsworthy action, like unfollowing Woods on Instagram (which her sister Kim Kardashian did as of yesterday, much to the delight and chagrin of celebrity news websites everywhere).
So many pressing questions in the name of hard-hitting beauty journalism, yet we’re left with only one marked-down fuchsia lipstick to guide us. We may not know what the future holds, but we can be sure the Kardashians and Jenners will continue to be on everyone’s lips—literally, in the case of Kylie—for the foreseeable future.
Ed note: "Jordy" has since sold out and the sale price has been removed from the site.
