Kim is arguably the most famous Kardashian, seeing as she's the one who has the most Instagram followers and garners the most media attention (that's not even to mention the fact that she inspires the most controversy). That doesn't mean, however, that the rest of her sisters aren't worth paying attention to. Kylie owns a successful namesake cosmetics company, Kendall is one of the buzziest supermodels in the world, and Khloé is the Kardashian fitness queen. Then there's the eldest sister, Kourtney, who slays us all with her amazing hair and makeup looks—whether on event red carpets or on Instagram. As for the latter, we're convinced she's mastered the art of the social media selfie to the point where she gives Kim a run for her money.
As such, we thought it was high time we took a look back at the eldest Kardashian's best makeup looks. You know, so we can get inspired (and maybe even inspire you too) to experiment with new summertime beauty looks. While there were many we could have drawn from, we managed to narrow it down to 14. To us, these are the 14 best makeup looks that epitomize Kourtney Kardashian's unique sense of style and beauty.
Let's start with this selfie, which Kardashian posted to her Instagram account a few months back while in Tokyo with Kim. We couldn't (and still can't) get enough of her fiery red lipstick, brushed-up brows, and fluttery lashes. To us, the lip color looks a lot like Bite Beauty's Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Saffron Fire ($26).
When we think of nude lipstick, we immediately think of Kim Kardashian West, who wears it constantly (she wears nude lipstick so much that she just launched a collection of her own). Kourtney, on the other hand, is more prone to wearing bright and vivid colors, which is why we loved seeing her in this perfectly matched nude lip at a recent red carpet event. Her soft and diffused smok y brown eye doesn't hurt either.
Kardashian attended the launch of her collaboration with clothing brand Pretty Little Thing wearing another nude lip. Unlike the last time, though, she paired it with glittery lids and bold lashes and brows. To replicate this look, we'll reach for Wunder2's Glitter Gelly in Diamond ($16), which has a similar bright silver finish.
Here's another Instagram selfie from Kardashian's Tokyo trip. This dark and graphic teal eye shadow is something we've never seen her wear before, and we were instantly into it, especially since it was paired with a soft petal-pink lip. Try using MAC's Eyeshadow Single in Teal Appeal ($17) for that perfect blue-green color meld.
If blue and greens aren't your thing, draw inspiration from another bold eye makeup look—this time a metallic pink-purple shade. After all, warm-toned shadows have been all the rage in 2018, and we don't see them going away anytime soon. (Bonus points if you pair the vibrant shadow with wet-look hair like Kardashian did).
We have one more bold-eyed Kourtney Kardashian look for you. This one is all about soft and sultry color with a brown taupe shadow blended all around her eyes, lots of mascara, and another nude lip. The star of this look is definitely the lashes. It's inspiring us to reach for our Isadora Grand Volume Lash Styler ($18), which gives our lashes major density.
Okay, now we're back to one of Kardashian's most classic makeup looks—that is, fluttery lashes and a bold lip. It's a combination that flatters her complexion and basically screams summertime. All you need to complement it is a bronzer and highlighter duo. Try Frank Body's Illuminator ($17) and Anastasia Beverly Hills Powder Bronzer ($28).
As far as red carpet makeup goes, we think this is the definition of no-makeup makeup. If you look close, it's clear to see that she's wearing a dusty pink blush, mascara, nude lipstick, and maybe even a bit of nude eyeliner along the waterline to brighten and widen the look of her eyes. From afar, the result is soft, subtle, and stunning.
Or go for a true orange lipstick. We think the shade suits her olive skin and raven-black hair well. Try using a matte shade, which will complement a glowy summertime complexion. We like using I'm Meme's I'm Tic Toc Cushion Velvet Tint in Lively Orange ($8). It's comfortable enough to wear all day long without constantly reapplying chapstick (which is one of our biggest beauty annoyances).
This look is similar to the one above, in that it features a bold matte lip. It's just a little more red than orange and a lot more glamorous than edgy. Try using a berry shade like Nyx's Matte Lipstick in Siren ($6). It's equal parts red and purple, kind of like merlot wine.
This one's a throwback, but it's worth noting nonetheless since we rarely see the eldest Kardashian sister wear a smoky eye. Again, that's a makeup look we associate more so with Kim, Khloé, or Kylie, but we think Kourtney wears kohl-rimmed eyes well, especially when paired with glossy, wavy hair. Speaking of hair, be sure to check out Kourtney Kardashian's best hairstyles of all time.
A stark contrast to a dark smoky eye is this fresh-faced look Kardashian wore to the Haider Ackermann show during Paris Fashion Week. Replicating this look is all about amping up the skin's natural dewy glow. For this one, use an opalescent light-reflecting highlighter like Farsali's Jelly Beam Illuminator in Glazed ($40), which looks just as good on the skin as it feels to apply (after all, it does have a bouncy, jelly texture).
We'll leave you with this perfect low-key makeup look, one that we'll be replicating on all our summer weekends to come. It's model-off-duty makeup, Kardashian-style, and we're obsessed. All we need to achieve this look is a grape-hued shadow, mascara, and pink lip balm. That's it. That's the key to low-maintenance summer makeup.
