Kourtney Kardashian's Haircare Routine Is Surprisingly Low-Maintenance

If Kylie Jenner is the Kardashian sister who perpetually switches up her hair (whether that’s with dye, haircuts, or wigs), then Kourtney Kardashian is the familial opposite. It’s true that she’s dabbled with bangs and soft highlights in years past, but for the majority of the family’s pop culture reign, her hair has remained the same. The eldest sister is now pretty much known for her long, inky-black locks. In fact, we wouldn’t recognize her without them—and we’re not mad. Her hair is shiny, bouncy, and dimensional. In short, it works, and if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?

So how does she keep her hair so unwaveringly healthy? According to The Zoe Report, she has two secret weapons, though, according to a couple of newer posts on her site Poosh, she shares a few more. Keep reading to see which products she swears by!

Shampoo and Conditioner

When it comes to Kourtney's everyday haircare, the reality star always keeps Rahua’s shampoo and conditioner stocked. In her post, she shares that these are two of her favorites because they have low scores on EWG’s Skin Deep app, which she always checks before adding new products into her daily round-up.

The hair-washing combo features nourishing rahua oil, renewing palo santo oil, revitalizing quinoa, and antioxidant-rich organic green tea and organic raspberry leaf. The result? Smooth, shiny, strengthened strands with each rinse.

Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Treatment

After showering, she rinses her hair with apple cider vinegar, which she uses as a natural conditioner. It’s been shown to protect the scalp’s natural oils (which is important for healthy hair) while adding moisture and shine. All you have to do is dilute some raw apple cider vinegar with water before adding to your strands. We like Bragg’s Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar. If you’re not into the raw stuff, we don’t blame you. It does have a rather bitter smell. If you like your beauty products smelling fresh and floral instead, try Madam C.J. Walker Beauty Culture The Tea Shine-Blasting ACV Treatment.

Hair-Friendly Towel

After discovering Aquis hair turbans, noticing a remarkable difference in texture, shine, and strength, and ultimately falling head over heels for the way they speed up drying time, Kourtney added them into her daily routine. In fact, she fell so in love with the way these super-absorptive towels protect hair and prevent split ends that she did a collab with the brand. Unsurprisingly, her leopard print hair turban immediately sold out, but, luckily for us, it's frequently re-stocked.

Silk Pillowcase

Lastly, she swears by sleeping on a silk pillowcase. Silk, as opposed to cotton, is thought to be gentler on the hair (and the skin), preventing the cuticle from being roughened up, which leads to breakage. Luckily, silk pillowcases are available at a number of reasonable price points, so you don't have to drop serious case to embrace this celeb-fave beauty hack. To promote your very best hair day, consider adding a Slip Silk Pillowcase, which is a Byrdie favorite, to your sleeping routine.
