Kim Kardashian West is on a roll with KKW Beauty. All the buzz surrounding KKW Body Fragrance, which is literally a mold of her naked body, has now shifted to the announcement of her new naked lip collection. On Tuesday, the beauty mogul dropped photos on Instagram sharing that she'll be releasing a line of eight nude, crème lipsticks along with three nude lip liners. This is the largest KKW Beauty lip collection yet—she's giving her little sis Kylie Jenner a run for her money.
In typical Kim fashion, she shared the news with a selfie showcasing a soft, chocolate-brown lip color. According to the caption, the 11 nude lip products are inspired by her "signature lip," which is this sold-out shade Classic K in the KKW x Mario collection. The new collection will be available June 8 on KKWBeauty.com. She followed up her announcement with a post showing a range of nude shades.
Oftentimes, nude lipsticks are mistaken as one-shade-fits-all, especially for women with dark skin tones. After the backlash she faced for releasing a limited line of concealers that don't offer an extensive shade range, kudos to Kim for trying again and taking this into consideration when crafting a diverse line of shades to suit all skin tones. On her Instagram page, Kim revealed that she's been wearing these shades for months, and they have the "creamiest long-lasting" formula. She's also excited for everyone to see the packaging, which she's gone the extra mile with in the past.
On the website, each nude lipstick and lip liner has imagery of women in different skin tones wearing the shades. Each color is in the nude family but distinctly different. According to the website, the lipsticks have a full-coverage color payoff and leave a satin finish. Blended with oils, extracts, and bold pigments, they offer a hydrating and silky-smooth finish to the lips. The lipsticks are $18 each, and the lip liners are $12.
The first shade is a light, pinky nude.
The second shade is more of a warm beige.
The third shade is identified as a terra-cotta nude.
The fourth shade is a cooler brown hue.
The fifth shade is a rosy-brown blend.
The sixth shade leans more on the deep-brown spectrum with a hint of greige.
The seventh shade is a mocha hue.
The eighth shade is a rich chocolate color.
You can add a bit of dimension to your lipstick with this lighter-tone liner.
Or create an ombré effect with this warm nude liner.
This deep-brown liner will also add a nice contrast.
Like the rest of her launches, these will probably fly off the shelves. Keep your eyes locked on June 8 when these hit the internet.
