We typically see Kim Kardashian West at her best. She's undeniably beautiful in person, but since most of the images we see of the business mogul are brought to us by Kardashian West herself, we're getting the fine-tuned, edited images she's signed off on, most times after her glam squad is done working their magic. But in a rare moment of vulnerability, she recently shared the reality of her skin underneath the filters and the KKW concealer—yes, even Kim Kardashian West has dark circles.
After doing an entire conceal-bake-brighten routine with her KKW Concealer Kit, she told her followers she'd wash off all the product to show just how well the kit conceals her dark circles (a genius marketing ploy, if we've ever seen one).
"Okay, so I took all my foundation off, and you can really see how dark my under-eye circles are and how crazy they look, really, honestly, but that's what concealer is for," she muses. We wouldn't call them "crazy"—dark circles are a fact of life virtually everyone faces and a sign of tiredness or just a result of heredity (read: thin under-eye skin and hyperpigmentation). So while concealer masques the discoloration, it's better to work on the surface to treat them. And even though West has a makeup line to sell, a recent post on her app revealing her favorite eye patches for dark circles infers that she's aware that concealer and powder are only a temporary fix. "Eye masks really work for me," she writes. "They make me look refreshed, less tired, and more radiant." Curious which eye patches she credits for helping her dark circles the most? The internet went wild for KNC's plumping lip mask, so we weren't surprised when we saw women wearing the brand's shooting star eye patches all over Instagram. They're infused with retinol, collagen, aloe, and hyaluronic acid to thicken the under-eye area and disguise discoloration. And of course, they make for a great selfie.

Rodial's proprietary Dragon's Blood (sap from the Croton Lechleri tree) helps to lift, smooth, and tighten the under-eye area while arnica extract reduces puffiness.
Another set of internet-famous eye patches, these firming eye gels are beloved by celebrities such as Leighton Meester and Gwyneth Paltrow. They don't come soaked in an essence or serum like most eye gels—instead, the top side is cotton-y soft while the underside is a transdermal gel that tones, brightens, and reduces puffiness.
Similar to the Skyn Iceland variation, these patches have a soft fabric upper side and gel underside, though with the addition of retinol to act as a steam press for puffiness and fine lines.
