While we may not be as #blessed as Kim Kardashian West to be able to tweet at a brand when its product is discontinued, prompting them to personally send us said product, we're pretty confident in our ability to find the next best thing. And though her sister Khloé could surely be as successful at pleading on Twitter, she's proved herself to be a bit more innovative in a recent post on her app. In it, she features her favorite discontinued products and the dupes she's found to replace them.
Allure shed light on the post recently, pointing out that many of the dupes are drugstore brands (praise be!). Kardashian writes, "It's the biggest bummer when my favorite makeup is no longer made. I never know what to do—I just end up buying the product in bulk on Amazon and hoping my stash lasts forever." But she's found a more resourceful alternative than filling up her Amazon cart. Keep scrolling to see her drugstore replacements!
Says Kardashian of the now discontinued Armani Face Fabric, "It was a super light foundation that felt more like a tinted moisturizer." She's since found that L'Oréal Paris Studio Secrets Smooth Soufflé Makeup ($9) performs similarly.
While already a drugstore mascara, Kardashian felt a void when Maybelline XXL Mascara was discontinued, but discovered that L'Oréal Voluminous Million Lashes ($9) is a close second.
Kardashian calls Chanel Dragon Rouge Allure Laque "the best red" and says it's "definitely a cult favorite." Despite being but a distant memory now, she's replaced it with NYX's Xtreme Lip Cream ($6) in Absolute Red.
