Just when you thought your Friday couldn't get any glowier, meet Kevin Kodra, aka the high school senior behind the viral yearbook photo which pretty much surpasses every other senior photo op in history. But epic contour aside, here's what we really love. Not only is Kodra's photo visually stunning (don't worry, we'll break down the exact products he used in a moment), but he's also dedicated to using his platform to inspire younger kids to feel comfortable in their skin—regardless of whether or not it's layered with makeup from MAC.
"A man in makeup is normal," he told Cosmopolitan.com. "I want my positive experience with my identity to become normal and break the stigma against not only men in makeup but also one's sexuality and identity." Plus, he also just wanted a really over-the-top glamorous yearbook photo. The one catch: He had to wake up around 4 a.m. to perfect the look. Yep, it took a whopping three to four hours.
"I wanted to have my final hurrah in high school. I wanted to have my makeup on full-glam so that I could [send the message to] people to do whatever you want," he continued in the same interview. "No matter what obstacle you have throughout your four years, it's not going to matter later on. It's whatever you do that's going to set your path." But may we suggest starting said path with Make Up For Ever Sculpting Kit ($48) and MAC Cosmetics Extra Dimension Skin Finish ($29) à la Kodra? It definitely can't hurt.
