Sometimes the simplest things are the most eye-catching, which is especially true with makeup. A lot of the time, it's not the brightest or daring looks we're digging, but the ones that speak to the minimalist in us. No one embodies this school of thought quite like Kendall Jenner.
Jenner's NYC makeup artist of choice, Aidan Keogh, told us once that her aesthetic is definitely more on the minimal side. "Her preference is a staple red lip, minimal makeup everywhere else, and lots of mascara," he said. "In a day where sculpted and chiseled features have become a movement, Kendall prefers a more subtle and naturally defined face … so she stands out in her own way without being overly made up."
We rounded up 10 looks that we love (and will probably copy for upcoming holiday festivities) from the supermodel. Click through to see Kendall Jenner's best makeup looks.
It's all about the smoky eye here. Jenner keeps everything else natural looking, with the exception of some contour for defined cheekbones.
Just as Keough mentions, Jenner sports her signature red lip and long lashes.
It can be hard to look put together at a music festival, in a hundred and something degree weather. Jenner does it well at Coachella by keeping it to the bare minimum and just putting some color on her cheeks and coats of mascara on her lashes.
Jenner opts for a pink lip instead of her usual red. She wears no eye shadow and instead defines the eye with liner at the top lashline and long lashes.
This is the perfect glossy-nude lip for a simple glam look.
Another win for the red lip here. She pairs it with subtle contour to define her cheekbone structure.
You'll notice a slight pink nude around her eyes for some color paired with a nude lip. But it's still minimalistic cool for Jenner as she sports her signature long lashes.
Jenner just constantly gives us all lash-envy. She's kept everything else pretty bare-looking, focusing on nude shades on her lips and eyelids.
This is a more subdued smoky eye. Jenner pairs this with a nude lip to keep the focus on the eyes.
We had to end with a killer red lip. There's just something about the color red that is really powerful.
