Celebrity makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan has worked her magic on some of Hollywood's biggest stars. She's responsible for the fresh-faced looks of Millie Bobby Brown, Reese Witherspoon, and, perhaps most notably, Lucy Hale, who she's grown quite close with over the years. On Hale's birthday, Deenihan wrote a heartfelt Instagram post stating, "Little did I know, 6 years ago in Nashville I was walking in the room to paint the face of one of my soon to be best friends. To the girl with the biggest heart, infectious laugh, and who inspires me daily...welcome to 29!! I love you!" We're pretty jealous.
Deenihan told Avon she has come to be known for focusing on clean, glowy skin and a bold lip, a look that we've seen Hale rock on and off the red carpet many a time. We figured she had a tip or two for achieving that signature radiant complexion, and she didn't disappoint. In fact, all five of the must-have products Deenihan shared with us involve achieving a look of healthy, flawless skin.

Deenihan can't live without this product. "It basically smooths, rehydrates, and plumps the skin with all of these amazing botanicals, peptides, and antioxidants, which are also gonna repair your skin," she says of this ultra-moisturizing product. "As a makeup artist, it's great because it acts as a primer, so it's a two-in-one."
"These are a holy grail for me and my clients. I put them on everybody," Deenihan raves. "They promote blood flow under the eye, which is going to de-puff, so basically it's like a little coffee, a little caffeine for your under-eyes," she says. The patches are infused with Icelandic glacial waters and firming ingredients to reduce signs of aging.
The makeup artist says this waterproof foundation was much-needed in her kit. "Basically, face and body means it's a little bit lighter so you can put it pretty much anywhere. For the face, it acts as kind of a tinted moisturizer, but I like to put it all over the body so that your whole skin tone is even," she explains.
Deenihan uses this cult-favorite makeup sponge on every single one of her clients. "What I like to do is put on foundation with a brush at first and then go in with the sponge and really press it in," she says of her technique. "What's great about the sponge is it's really porous so it kind of gives that skin texture and you can use it wet or dry." Deenihan suggests wetting your Beautyblender if you're going for a dewier look.
These luminous drops are versatile, which is one of the reasons Deenihan loves them. "What I like to do is actually put a drop or two into the foundation before I apply it. It gives a really luminous and radiant look onto the skin," she reveals. Or you can use it by itself and apply it where you'd normally highlight, the MUA explains.
