We got the chance to sit down with the newly-minted Caress Fabulista and ask her about all things beauty—from her favorite beauty DIY, to the unexpected thing she does when she wants to feel sexy (it involves a faux mole…), to how her pregnancy has changed her fitness routine (hint: it hasn’t really).

“I thank my grandma for my skin! Here’s a trick I do—after I finish my face routine, I close my pores with ice-cold water. I soak a towel in ice water, then put it on my face to close my pores. I swear by that! I’m prone to having open pores, so I’ve learned to train them over the years.”
“I lather up, now that I’m pregnant. I look like a piece of chicken on the way to bed! When I wake up in the morning, I’m greased and ready to go. I’ve been using all natural stuff, like pure shea butter and pure cocoa butter. My bathroom looks like a kitchen—everything is covered in oil. All my clothes are, too.
I used to Caress’ Juicy Escape, ($5), but now Emerald Rush ($5) is my favorite. I love layering scents. My deodorant has to smell good with my Caress, and everything has to complement each other. Then, you get this signature scent!”
“My fitness routine has pretty much stayed the same since my pregnancy. I slowed my heart rate down a bit, so I don’t get overheated, but I still love my yoga and my Pilates. We had to alter some of the boxing, but I still do it! The things Jeanette [Jenkins] and I did in our Cardio Sculpt DVD, we still do—just some things, I’ve had to chill out on. I’ll limit myself to just five ‘real’ push-ups now!”
“Know your angles! And give yourself the right lighting. There was this picture I took on Instagram, after I came home from lunch with my family, and my bed was right by the window. I faced the window so the light was on me, and kind of sucked in my chin—I always do that. You have to know what works for you!”
“A red lip, a faux mole, and some great lashes are all I need to feel sexy. I do the fake mole myself. The one I have on right now is covering up my blemish! It’s my little trick. I use black Duo lash glue, because it raises a bit. It works! Another trick my makeup artist, Sheika Daley, taught me is to go outside my lip a little bit [with my lip pencil], so I can save myself the lip plump surgery. I always thought my top lip is way too small compared to my bottom lip, so this trick saves me! Give you a little extra Marilyn—she’s in my dressing room. I love her. I’m so inspired by her.
