Kaia Gerber is the perfect candidate for walking in New York Fashion Week. After all, you can’t be the daughter of one of the most iconic supermodels of all time and not walk for buzzy designer brands.
She looks almost exactly like her famous mom, too, with the same bold brows, brown eyes, and shiny hair. It's so easy to mistake her for Cindy Crawford, herself. (Real talk: Half the time we’re looking at Gerber’s modeling photos, we can’t remember if they’re hers or her mom’s circa 1984.)
This NYFW marks Gerber’s official introduction to the fashion world, as it’s the first season she’s working as a runway model. Even though she’s a newbie, she’s walked for some of the most sought-after brands, including Alexander Wang, Calvin Klein, and Coach. Each had its own unique take on hair and makeup, yet Gerber looked amazing in each and every one.

At Alexander Wang’s spring 2018 show, Gerber had relaxed hair, fresh matte skin, and peachy-pink eye shadow. Makeup artist Diane Kendal used Nars Orgasm Illuminating Loose Powder and Climax Mascara (which are both new for spring 2018). To replicate the look now, try Orgasm Blush ($30) and Audacious Mascara ($26).
Gerber looked straight out of a sci-fi movie at the Fenty x Puma show. For this one, the look was fresh and dewy (spot her draped blush). We also love her slicked-back hair, which was a huge trend across all the NYFW shows. It looks like the wet-look hair will continue to be huge for fall, winter, and spring.
At Calvin Klein, the makeup look was minimal. We love the fluttery lashes and brushed-up brows. But we love the shiny, relaxed hair even more.
First, hair was prepped with the Redken Clean Maniac Clean-Touch Micellar Shampoo ($34) and Conditioner ($38). Then, while hair was still damp, a small amount of Redken No Blow Dry Cream ($24) was applied to the lengths and ends. After a little extra was applied to the crown of the head for extra hold, the model’s hair was allowed to air-dry. Amazingly low-maintenance, yes?
Gerber’s makeup at the Coach show was the most dramatic. She rocked edgy black liner that smoked out into the crease of her eye. The products the models wore were all from Pat McGrath Labs.
The eye shadow is from the Pat McGrath Mothership I: Subliminal Palette ($125), which will become available on September 16. It’s the same deal with the eyeliner, which was Pat McGrath PermaGel Ultra Glide Eye Pencil in Xtreme Black ($25), also launching on September 16.
