Spring may officially be here as of today (hooray!), but that didn't stop Joan Smalls from stepping out in New York City this week in a vampy wine-colored lip, worthy of the moodiest days. Though it was a wholly unexpected move, as many makeup artists make the seasonal shift to punchy pinks and sheer shades, it paid off in a major way. Meanwhile, Suki Waterhouse took our breath away with tousled waves for the ages, and Jessica Alba showed off her chic new bob. The Jane The Virgin actress opted for a sleek and straight center-parted blowout, and glowing, natural makeup by Carissa Ferreri for an appearance at Paleyfest in Los Angeles. To make Rodriguez's lashes look extra lush and fanned-out, Ferreri used Kevyn Aucoin The Volume Mascara ($28) and added Ardell Individual Lashes in Short ($2).
Alba's brand new honey-brown bob was styled to perfection by Davy Newkirk, meanwhile her main makeup chick, Lauren Anderson created a flawless, luminious complexion. Paired with matte nude eye shadow and a creamy nude lip, the look was almost monocrhome, but punctuated with tapered black liner, lashes, and groomed brows.
File this under: when Joan Smalls shut. it. down. at the launch party of her line with True Religion. Makeup artist Patrick Ta enhanced Smalls' naturally contoured to-die-for cheeks, while a sleek low ponytail by her regular hair guru Jennier Yepez let Smalls' stunning features take front stage. Ta perfected Smalls' brows, gave her lashes extra length and definition, and completed the look with a show-stealing stained-matte wine lip.
Kaley Cuoco's perfectly tousled pixie, styled by Christine Symonds, has us more enamored with the cut than ever. With Jamie Greenberg on makeup, Cuoco's green eyes popped like no other thanks to a dimensional gray, black, and champagne smoky eye. Greenberg used Cargo Cosmetics Essential Lipgloss in Taos ($16) for an understated glossy pink lip that's ideal for spring (and for balancing sultry eyes).
At the premier of Danny Collins in New York City, Rose Byrne smoldered with bronze-hued makeup and her lob in piecy waves. To get the look, makeup artist Hung Vanngo used Tom Ford Eye Defining Pencil in Expresso with Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in Bad Girl Bronze, then coated lashes with layers of volumizing mascara. For her perfect nude lips, Vanngo lined with L'Oréal Infallible Never Fail Lipliner in Nude, then swiped CK One Color Shine Lipstick in Naked.
At the New York City premier of Insurgent, British actress Suki Waterhouse walked the red carpet looking fairytale-esque (if the princess in the story were edgier and cooler than usual). With messy loose waves, a thick black cat eye, radiant skin, brows on-fleek, and a fresh pink pout, Waterhouse is giving us beauty inspiration for days.
At the same premier, Zoe Kravitz had us swooning over her matte skin, metallic smoky eye, fluttery lashes and glossy pink lip. Seriously, how gorgeous does she look?
