Jessica Alba is the founder of the eco-conscious Honest Company, which produces gentle and effective personal care and beauty products. (FYI, our favorite products from the brand include the Organic Face Oil, $55, and the Organic Magic Balm, $18. Both are super nourishing, hydrating, and gentle.) She clearly knows a lot about beauty—and we're not too proud to say that we could learn a thing or two (or a million) from her. That's why we were so excited to get a look inside her personal beauty routine—including her preferred natural deodorant. (Because, honestly, natural deodorant is one of the trickiest products to shop for IOHO.)
She posted a photo of her bathroom vanity on her Instagram story to show a few of her daily and nightly essentials. Alongside her trusty Honest Company Organic Body Oil ($10) and Quip Electric Toothbrush Set ($40) sat a $14 all-natural and nontoxic deodorant that smells like lovely, earthy, and fragrant vanilla.
For those of us who are trying to minimize our exposure to harsh chemicals through beauty and personal care products (à la Jessica Alba), this natural deodorant is a must-have. It's free of aluminum and parabens, and it's nonirritating. That's kind of the trifecta for deodorant, no?
It's also nourishing to the delicate skin of your underarms, thanks to its natural blend of essential oils. If the thought of oils being present in your deodorant makes you wince, know that the deodorant has won awards for its dry and nonsticky feel. Seriously, it has over 40,000 "loves" on Sephora. That's pretty amazing for an all-natural deodorant since many people avoid them because they worry that they don't perform like other, more traditional formulas.
Alba is currently pregnant with her third child, so it's likely that she's being extra careful about the products she's using in her beauty and care routines. Either way, it's like we said before—if this natural deodorant is good enough for Jessica Alba, it's good enough for us.
