Earlier this month, Jennifer Lawrence arrived at the Paris premiere of her film Mother! in the chicest hairstyle we’ve seen on the actress. Her flaxen strands were gelled to perfection, giving her shoulder-length blonde waves the highly coveted wet look (and one of our favorite New York Fashion Week trends, in case you’ve been taking notes).
Although we've been longtime fans of Lawrence’s beauty game, the look reminded us just how on-point the actress truly is. And since we can’t resist a walk down memory lane, we combed through all of J. Law’s red carpet appearances for a roundup of the 27-year-old's best hairstyles of all time.
Check out our favorite Jennifer Lawrence hairstyles ahead, beginning with her bouncy, blonde waves in 2011 and ending with the aforementioned edgy slick.
One of Lawrence's most striking looks to date, the actress arrived at the 83rd annual Academy Awards with full, bouncy waves. We'd go so far as to argue that this was the night that marked the beginning of our (now) deep-seated obsession with Lawrence's hair.
For the 2012 premiere of The Hunger Games, Lawrence opted for an elaborate bun. The actress's hair was curled, plaited, and coiled with two Jennifer Behr necklaces interwoven throughout (that matched her dress to perfection, might we add).
Taking a complete departure from the full, blonde hair we had grown accustomed to seeing Lawrence with, the actress walked the Silver Linings Playbook red carpet with sleek raven strands. Paired with a berry lip and a side-part, Lawrence single-handedly proved straight hair wasn't just for the early 2000s.
Ditching her monotone look for a multifaceted, chestnut hue, Lawrence returned with piece-y, voluminous waves in 2013 at the 19th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Later that year, Lawrence showed off the versatility of her length, sweeping her hair into a messy bun at the nape of her neck (aka lazy-girl perfection).
Possibly the most momentous look of J.law's to date, this loosely pulled-back updo was the style she wore to receive her first Oscar win for Silver Lining's Playbook (after her infamous trip up the stairs, of course).
Evidence that every single celebrity has tried out a lob at some point (or so it seems), Lawrence swapped her long waves for a shoulder-length cut with choppy fringe in 2013.
In 2014, Lawrence experimented with her most transformative haircut yet: a layered pixie with side-swept bangs. The cool tousled texture throughout the cut made for an über-flattering face-framing look.
Three months later, Lawrence combed back her bangs for a chic updo. The actress paired the sophisticated look with a heavy badass smoky eye.
In 2016, Lawrence traded her signature golden highlights for an icy, platinum lob. Although we had never envisioned the actress with such a light hue, the color couldn't have been more flattering.
Earlier this year, Lawrence opted for a true yellow-blonde color and soft, casual waves at the Mother! press conference during the Toronto International Film Festival.
And finally, Lawrence's sophisticated gelled look at a separate Mother! press event rounds out our picks for her best-ever hair moments.
